Things to consider, Duct Systems are one of the most overlooked and ignored parts of the typical heating and cooling system. The most common concern is air leakage. A recent study revealed that out of 200 homes surveyed all had leakage and most had significant leaks with an average around 200 cubic feet of air per minute. On a 2 ton heating and cooling system this works out to a 25% loss in efficiency or to put it another way, $.25 of every heating and cooling dollar is wasted. Because older duct systems are so leaky our recommendation is to install a new properly sealed and insulated duct system when your heating and cooling system is upgraded.
Because Duct systems are critical to energy efficient and comfortable homes, we fabricate our entire galvanized steel duct in house in our modern duct fabrication shop to assure that each system is designed and built to the highest standard.
Some system types available include:
Geothermal Heat Pump systems with open or closed loops, these systems are very energy efficient and are eligible for a variety of tax incentives. (Please consult with our sales engineers for current incentives available).
Variable Speed Heat Pumps and Air Conditioning systems, this type of system varies the capacity required by the building and occupants due to daily weather conditions and occupant demand and offers exceptional performance and comfort for a good value.
VRV or Variable Refrigerant Volume systems are another type of Heat Pump system that is becoming increasingly popular because of its versatility in zoning and efficiency of operation.
And then of course we have numerous single speed/capacity air conditioning and heating systems including Gas and Oil Furnaces and various Heat Pumps and Air Conditioning systems in many different efficiency ranges.
Overall Bass Air Conditioning Company is able and willing to solve any indoor air quality and comfort need you may have while saving you money now and over the life of your system.
